Privacy Notice
Closeout Snap is designed so the contents of your job report stay on the device where you create it. This notice explains what stays local, what limited usage data we collect, and the choices you have.
Last updated: September 4, 2026
The short version
- No account is required for the public report builder.
- Your customer names, job details, captions, company logos, photos, signature, and PDF contents are processed in your browser and are not intentionally uploaded to or stored by Closeout Snap.
- Your unfinished draft may be stored in that browser's local storage so you can resume it on the same device.
- We collect limited anonymous product-usage events to understand whether the beta works.
- We do not sell personal information or use report contents for advertising or AI training.
Report information
Information entered into the report builder—including company and customer details, jobsite information, notes, company logos, photos, captions, and signatures—is used by code running in your browser to create the PDF. Closeout Snap does not intentionally send that content to its analytics database.
If you use Tap to speak or keyboard dictation, speech recognition is supplied by your browser or device. Its provider may send audio to a remote speech service to turn it into text under its own privacy terms. Closeout Snap does not record or store the audio; only the resulting text becomes part of your local report draft.
A draft can remain in local browser storage on your device. Anyone who can use that browser profile may be able to reopen it. Download the completed PDF for your records, then use New report to clear the customer draft before starting another job. Your company name, company logo, and technician name are retained as a local profile for convenience; clear site data in browser settings before handing the device to someone else.
Company logos
An uploaded company logo is report content. It is processed and may be resized locally in your browser, then stored with the existing local draft and company profile when browser storage is available. The company profile retains the logo for the next job. The actual logo image is not intentionally uploaded to or permanently stored by Closeout Snap. Removing a logo removes it from the current draft, company profile, and the next PDF you create.
Anonymous usage data
We record a random browser-session identifier and events such as page views, reaching the report builder, completing the first field, opening the photo picker, adding or failing to add photos, creating, downloading, opening, sharing, or failing to create a PDF, one-tap intent to use Closeout Snap again, feedback form opens, feedback clicks, and Pro-interest clicks. We also record the page path, broad device type, referring website domain, campaign tags included in a link, event quantity, and time. Campaign and referral tags are kept for the current browser session so later report events can be attributed to the same visit.
Logo interactions may record logo_upload_started, logo_uploaded, and logo_removed. Voice interactions may record dictation_started, dictation_completed, dictation_cancelled, and dictation_error. These events contain neither audio nor transcript text nor the logo image. We do not add customer names, job details, report text, captions, logos, signatures, photographs, or PDF contents to these analytics events. The random session identifier is used to count a visit and is not an account. Test traffic is flagged and excluded from business metrics. The owner can mark a browser as an owner device so its activity is excluded from business metrics.
Feedback you submit
If you use the in-app feedback form, Closeout Snap stores the exact message, feedback type, usefulness rating, submission time, page path, broad device type, browser family, and an optional reply email you choose to provide. Random browser and session identifiers are used for abuse prevention and to distinguish completed submissions from form opens.
Do not place customer names, jobsite addresses, report contents, photos, signatures, passwords, payment information, or other sensitive information in feedback. Feedback is visible only in the protected owner dashboard and is used to improve and support Closeout Snap.
Infrastructure and security
Closeout Snap uses infrastructure providers to deliver the website and store the limited analytics described above. Those providers may process ordinary technical request information, such as an IP address and browser headers, to deliver and secure the service or maintain operational logs. Closeout Snap does not add IP addresses to its product-analytics records.
No internet service is risk-free. Avoid entering payment-card details, government identification numbers, medical information, access credentials, or other highly sensitive information into a beta report.
Your choices
- Do not use the report builder if you do not want the browser to store a local draft.
- Use New report to clear the current draft from Closeout Snap's browser storage.
- Browser settings can clear local site data, but doing so may delete an unfinished draft.
- You can contact us to ask a privacy question or request deletion of analytics reasonably associated with information you provide in the request. Because analytics are intentionally anonymous, we may not be able to identify a particular session.
Children and changes
Closeout Snap is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this notice as the product changes. The date above will change when we make a material update.
